A female soccer player at Wheaton College is accused of attending a campus Halloween party in a costume that included making her face black, reportedly as a spoof on the movie White Chicks. As a result, the team will forfeit their playoff game this weekend, effectively ending their season.

CBS Boston reports ”a photo taken Friday shows the woman with her skin darkened by makeup, a drawn-on goatee and a bald cap. A Wheaton College spokesman called the costume ‘offensive and racist.’”

School officials at the Massachusetts college have met with students and Wheaton’s Black Student Association is calling for mandatory campus-wide racial awareness training.

As victims and survivors of sexual harassment in Hollywood continue to come forward in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, things are turning dark for Kevin Spacey.

“Kevin Spacey made the set of Netflix’s ‘House of Cards’ into a ‘toxic’ work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment, eight people who currently work on the show or worked on it in the past tell CNN. One former employee told CNN that Spacey sexually assaulted him.”

All eight employees who spoke to CNN described Spacey’s behavior on the popular show’s set as “predatory,” adding that it included “nonconsensual touching and crude comments and targeted production staffers who were typically young and male.”

Katherine Frederick from Florida State University shared her story of an incident that took place when she was studying abroad in London.

As she writes, “I wanted people to see that this comes in all shapes and sizes, and that just because you were naïve enough to not notice it happening at the time, doesn’t mean that what a person did to you wasn’t wrong.”

Read her whole story here.
