Tips for Surviving Midterm Season

By Joseph Gibson on October 5, 2015

As midterms are approaching, I find myself extremely stressed. So much material to study. Words, definitions, and formulas to memorize. Piles of notes, power point slides, and lecture videos to catch up with. It all can be extremely over whelming and lead to an anixety attack. Over thinking this time will make it worse (than it already is). But we all have to remember. It is just a test. Just an exam. It may effect your grade point average but it does not define who we are. Here are some tips to make this time easier:

1. Prepare early

2. Designate study periods

3. Reward yourself when completing a study session

4. Relax and get a good nights sleep

5. Do not cram the night before

6. Spend less time procrastinating and more time focusing on what you need to do

7. Take breaks in between

8. Put your phone on silent when studying

9. Avoid social media at all costs.

and 10. Remember, all of this will end in a couple weeks

This is all easier said than done (as i am procrastinating studying for my Tuesday midterm by writing this). But, if you really think about it, the more time you prepare the better you will do (on this exam or anything in your life). Good luck to all on your midterms.

P.S.

Please pray that i pass my accounting midterm.
